Phase 4 films has acquired North American distribution rights to the thriller “Ask Me Anything,” starring Britt Robertson (“Under the Dome”).
Producers are Lauren Avinoam, Nicolas Emiliani, and Lauren Hogarth. Allison Burnett directed from his own script, adapted from his novel “Undiscovered Gyrl.”
Robertson portrays a young woman who takes a year off before college in order to seduce a 30-year-old film professor (played by Justin Long) while resisting her attraction to her married boss (portrayed by Christian Slater) while blogging anonymously about her adventures — before her narrative begins to crack and dark parts of her past emerge.
Phase 4′s Larry Greenberg negotiated the deal with Maren Olson of Traction on behalf of the filmmakers.

The Movie ‘Undiscovered Gyrl’ in which Britt plays the character of Katie Kampenfelt has had a title change and will now go by the title of ‘Ask me anything’
Robertson plays a wild young woman who takes a year off before college and authors an anonymous blog about her sexual misadventures with a film teacher just as everything is about to turn sour.
Allison Burnett directs Ask Me Anything based on an adaptation of his novel Undiscovered Gyrl.
“Ask Me Anything is one of those rare films that is capable of striking a chord with audiences in so many different ways,” said Lightning sales and acquisitions consultant Richard S Guardian.
“We were initially drawn to the ingredients that make it so commercially viable – a built-in audience fan base from a book continuing to grow in popularity and a globally recognised cast including a rapidly rising star in Britt Robertson, but were blown away by the film’s desensitised narrative, brought to life by a remarkable cast. We couldn’t be happier to have this film on our slate.”
